Expert voice analysis of those calls to police revealed they were made by Bashir and Hussain respectively.\r\nIn September, police were given information that a forced marriage was taking place at an address in Moseley, Birmingham. The offences occurred between 2016-2018.\r\n\r\nOn the 5 January 2021, Ahmed was sentenced to two years' imprisonment, as well as being given a five year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and his name added to the Sex Offenders Register for ten years.\r\nChief Constable Stephen Watson, said: \"I'm appalled by this disgusting abuse of a young girl and I am pleased that justice has been served which was a result of a robust and thorough criminal investigation undertaken by detectives from GMP's Oldham CID.\r\n\"I expect our officers to uphold the highest standards of conduct with public safety being their main priority. The incident happened after a disturbance outside a bar on Deansgate Locks in October 2016 and the man required hospital treatment for his injuries.\r\n\r\nOur investigation took five months and concluded in March 2017 when our findings and evidence were provided to GMP.  In February 2018 the force agreed that the officer had a case to answer for gross misconduct.\r\n IOPC Regional Director Amanda Rowe said: “Police officers are trained to deal with challenging situations and should only use force when it is necessary, proportionate and reasonable. We found a case to answer that PC Ellis used an excessive amount of force when dealing with the disturbance. Having considered all of the evidence we gathered during our investigation, the panel decided PC Ellis had behaved recklessly and his actions put people at risk.”\r\n At the conclusion of our investigation, we referred the matter to the Crown Prosecution Service which decided the evidence did not support a criminal prosecution.\r\n\r\nPC Ellis will now be placed on the police barred list.\r\nUPDATE 30 April 2021: After an appeal hearing today, the panel quashed the original finding. It followed his arrest earlier that month on suspicion of police corruption, resulting from a report of abuse of position for a sexual purpose.\r\n\r\nWe decided this should be subject to a managed investigation, carried out by the force’s Major Incident Team and supported by its Professional Standards Branch under our independent direction and control. The 34-year-old, based in Trafford, was arrested again on 16 November 2018 on suspicion of police corruption and sexual assault and on 13 March 2019 on suspicion of sexual assault, misconduct in public office and distributing an indecent image.\r\n\r\nThe investigation was completed and evidence passed to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in August 2019. The girl told her father, who reported the matter to GMP. GMP then referred the matter to us.\r\n\r\nOn conclusion of the investigation, we sent our report to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) who decided not to charge Mr Wallace.\r\n\r\nWe recommended that there was a case to answer for gross misconduct which the force agreed with. Mr Wallace resigned from his position before the gross misconduct hearing.\r\n\r\nThe panel found that the allegations were proven and that standards of professional behaviour for honesty and integrity, authority, respect and courtesy and discreditable conduct contrary to the police conduct regulations 2012 were found to have been breached. They assessed that the conduct amounted to gross misconduct, and that dismissal would have been justified had Mr Wallace not resigned. The panel made an order for the former special constable to be placed on the police barred list for life.\r\n\r\nIOPC Regional Director Amanda Rowe said: “Mr Wallace’s actions were totally unacceptable and a direct breach of standards of professional behaviour. Mr Wallace made inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old girl he had met during the course of his duties, which included sending her a topless photo of him in bed.\r\n\r\n“Mr Wallace has now been placed on the police barred list, which will prevent him from joining policing forces and policing bodies like HMICFRS, OPCCs and the IOPC for life. The force then referred the matter to us.\r\n\r\nOur investigation found that Mr Kiba had regularly accessed the personal information of the woman – including her home address and car registration – and the personal information of those connected to her.\r\n\r\nIOPC Regional Director Amanda Rowe said: “Mr Kiba abused his position by repeatedly obtaining the personal information of both the woman, and people connected to her, held on GMP systems without a proper policing purpose.\r\n\r\n“His behaviour brought his professionalism into question and the sentence shows that behaviour will not be tolerated.”\r\n\r\nOur investigation began in August 2018 and was completed in July 2019. During our investigation, we analysed an audit trail of phone and email contact between Mr Kiba and the woman and obtained details of searches carried out by the former PCSO on GMP computer systems.\r\n\r\nWe referred our report to the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) who made the decision to charge the former PCSO, who resigned from his post in 2019.\r\n\r\nMr Kiba was sentenced to an 18-month community order, including 200 hours of unpaid work and eight rehabilitation activity requirement days. The court also heard that he met other sex workers and used their services.\r\n\r\nAn inquiry also found that PC Taylor had carried out over 700 unauthorised searches of secure information held on GMP systems between June 2017 and March 2019.\r\n\r\nThe searches included information regarding family and friends, other police officers, organised crime group members and individuals believed to be sex workers.\r\n\r\nTaylor had been suspended from duty since his alleged conduct first came to light in March 2019.\r\n\r\nDet Chief Supt Jon Chadwick, head of GMP’s Professional Standards Branch, said: “PC Chris Taylor’s behaviour fell well below the standard rightly expected of a police officer by the public.\r\n\r\n“He showed a blatant disregard for his role as a police officer and abused the powers afforded to him, effectively betraying the trust of the public and his fellow officers in the process.\r\n\r\n“We take offences such as this incredibly seriously so once his offending came to light he was quickly suspended from duty and his access to any restricted information removed.\r\n\r\n“The severity of his misconduct is reflected in the sentence passed today and I hope it will serve as a stark reminder of the consequences people will face if they abuse their position for their own gain.”","https:\u002F\u002Fwww.burytimes.co.uk\u002Fnews\u002F18534470.ex-police-officer-hunted-sex-workers-force-computers-jailed\u002F","2021-11-14T20:09:00.000Z","2022-03-30T08:29:48.000Z"]
