Floyd.\r\n\r\nPC Lee Scott has been dismissed by Northumbria Police after investigators from the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) found him guilty of gross misconduct over his social media posts.\r\n\r\nAnd the force has today revealed how he was reported to senior officers by one of his own colleagues who became concerned about his inappropriate online behaviour.\r\nA memorial to 2020, and subsequent Black Lives Matter protests.\r\n\r\nNorthumbria Police referred the matter to the IOPC by the force's professional standards department after his colleague came forward to report had been used by Far Right groups, homophobic remarks made about a senior police officer wearing an LGBT lanyard and inappropriate comments about a Chief Constable taking the knee during a Black Lives Matter protest.\r\n\r\nNorthumbria's Police and Crime Commissioner, Kim McGuinness, has also condemned the disgraced PC's actions.\r\n\r\n“There is no place for hate in our region and certainly not in our police force. The panel said his actions were due to his mental health and gave him a written warning.\n'I'm gonna lock you up'\n\nThe hearing heard how the woman, who was known to police, had called earlier in the day saying she was suicidal and been seen by officers.\n\nHer mental health issues were flagged to the force as warning markers for self-harm.\n\nThe panel heard that when PC Hodgson and a probationary officer arrived at the house after she called again later in the day, PC Hodgson told the woman, who has not been identified, \"I'm gonna lock you up\".\n\nWhen she asked why, the officer said: \"Because you can't be trusted to look after yourself.\"\n\nFour times he asked her why she had called police again, and each time she said it was because she was suicidal.\n\nHe then asked: \"And what do you think the police can do about it?\"\n\nThe woman said: \"Help me and talk to me like [the police] did earlier… [and be] nice to me.\"\n\nThe officer replied: \"No, because that was earlier on.
